Ki-Hara(tm) Mashing is bodywork like no other & will leave you feeling more energized, looser and quicker to recover than ever before. In this 1 day workshop we will take you through Mashing moves for the whole body from the toes to the fingers. Class is very "feet on" and includes a full color manual + trainers-only DVD of all the moves taught in class. This workshop is open to everyone!

Mashing is a form of body work that prepares muscles by compressing them with your feet. Most assisted Ki-Hara sessions involve mashing to warm the body up or help flush the body at the end of the session. This technique will affect myofascial tissue as well as blood flow and will also allow muscles to stretch more effectively. These techniques are similar to what they have been practicing in the East for more than 38 generations. It is deep and sometimes intense works that helps create a more lasting effect and changes in the body during the session while helping to save the practitioners arms and hands from the rigors and wear and tear of traditional hands-on work.

The latest hybrid of bodywork used with Ki-Hara is what we would like to call Thai-MASHiatsu (MASHING) – a unique blend of Thai movements and mashing. What you will find is a new modality that, although focused on work with the feet, also includes some use of the hands and rocking techniques found in traditional Thai Bodywork. The combination is a natural one that is helping to create a deep and more relaxing massage with protocols for every part of the body from the head to the toes.
