A private session is your appointment for intensive and personalized flexibility training. It starts with a two-on-one stretch program tailored to your body, your needs, and your goals. We don't simply prescribe a bunch of stretches. We assess your body in numerous positions pushing and pulling to test your alignment and flexibility. We ask lots of questions, listen intently, and observe everything.

We work as a team to stretch you - this goes beyond 1 on 1 training. There are 2 minds constantly analyzing and problem-solving your body for an hour and a half straight, plus countless other hours of post-session thoughts, documentation, and correspondence. We are available to our clients 24-7 and work around their schedule as we are ‘flexible’ if you will. We also provide customized DVDs of a personalized home workout, so as to make it easier to remember.

By working as a team, we can create much more sophisticated movements on your body than any piece of exercise equipment or personal trainer out there. We work the muscles in your body in their three movement patterns: flexion/extension, abduction/adduction, and external/internal rotation. We create movements that go deep into the muscles and joints while allowing muscles that you didnīt even know you had to start firing at a rapid rate.

We may also include dynamic stretches such as lunges and squats; abdominal, lower back, and core work can be interspersed with Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching. In addition, we do ‘body weight exercises’ such as push-ups, pull-ups, dips, mountain climbers, etc. to make the session as functional as possible.

The movements made with two people can move at faster speeds and instill an aerobic capacity in the body un-matched by any other form of mostly stationary exercise/stretching. Movements we make can simulate ones you would make snowboarding, playing tennis, dancing, or pivoting to name a few.

Each session is tailored to each individualīs needs. Although our bodies are all constructed of the same materials - bones, muscles, organs, joints, tendons, etc., each foundation is so very different and therefore needs to be treated that way. Everyone is tight in different places and holds their tension in different areas and muscle groups throughout their body, and this is something that we can specifically address... some foundations just need a little renovating, thatīs all!

A stretch, diet and life program

Then we begin creating a custom series of stretches and variations just for you. During the private session, you work through your personal stretch program with our assistance. Plus we teach you how to stretch on your own, so you can stretch in between sessions. Also as part of your program, we give advice on diet, exercise and other pertinent aspects of your life.

Directly address your needs & goals

In privates you perform a demanding series of stretch exercises under the guidance and handling of your instructor. We focus on the particular weaknesses and imbalances in your body. We also work on the things that you want to achieve or change. You'll experience powerful improvements right away and realize dramatic gains in flexibility, strength, and health over time.
